Windows Phone 8
The Windows Phone version of the JetXBit Airport Information System is an extension of the JetXBit Airport Information System, enabling airport personnel to monitor and perform Technological Service Graph (TSG) operations and manage airport resources in real time using mobile devices.
The mobile version of the Airport Information System has been developed to achieve the following objectives:
- automate aircraft ground handling management processes;
- optimize the use of human and material resources to reduce operating costs;
- improve the quality of monitoring Technological Service Graph (TSG) operations during flight handling;
- reduce the information workload of personnel responsible for organizing and supervising aircraft ground handling.
General information
The primary purpose of the mobile application is to provide airport personnel involved in aircraft ground handling with quick access to information about Technological Service Graph (TSG) operations, their scheduled execution times, and service providers. It also allows users to manually update operational data, reducing the need for voice-based coordination of ground handling activities and easing the workload of dispatch personnel.
Application features:
- User authentication.
- Restricted access to the following flight information:
- flight number and date;
- flight status;
- route;
- aircraft type and modification;
- scheduled departure and arrival times;
- actual departure and arrival times;
- Technological Service Graph (TSG) operations;
- scheduled and actual times for TSG operations;
- resource providers (selection from the Companies directory is limited to suppliers only);
- additional flight information, including aircraft configuration, fuelling, passengers, crew, and load.
- Management of Technological Service Graph (TSG) operations, including:
- starting and completing an operation;
- cancelling an operation;
- blocking an operation;
- one-time execution of an operation;
- editing an operation;
- creating a new operation.
- Entering flight notes.
- Connection to the central JetXBit database via Wi-Fi or, when Wi-Fi is unavailable, via the GSM network.
- Synchronization between the mobile device and the server.
System requirements and device selection
The following requirements must be met to run the application on a mobile device:
- Windows Phone 8.0/8.1 operating system;
- Wi-Fi module for synchronization with the JetXBit database;
- GSM module for synchronization when Wi-Fi coverage is unavailable.
Recommended:
- Device case with an IP65 protection rating or higher (Ingress Protection rating indicating complete protection against dust ingress and protection against water jets from any direction);
- battery capacity sufficient for a full work shift with Wi-Fi enabled;
- GPS module, if device (operator) location tracking is required;
- barcode scanner, if barcode scanning is required.
